The Freiburger is a grape variety that proudly carries the Fribourg identity. It produces a wine with fruity notes and its unique character. With a greenish-yellow hue, the Freiburger expresses a medium intensity, but with complexity on fruity notes (yellow grapefruit, lemon), quinine bark, and aromatic herbs (thyme). The palate is lively, offering a nice balance and a straightforward texture without heaviness or excessive vivacity. A beautiful final length on citrus notes.

History of the Grape Variety
The Freiburger is a hybrid grape variety that was created in Germany in the 1930s. It was imported to Vully in the 1960s. Vully is currently the place in the world where it is most planted.
